How do I change my nickname on IRC?

To change your nickname simply type: /nick newnick
For example to change your nickname to Gunshot type: /nick Gunshot

To join a channel simply type: /join #Channel
For example to join #Dark-Future type: /join #Dark-Future

To register a nickname you need to send a request to NickServ by typing: /ns register password email@address
For example if you want the password abc123 and your email address is email@me.com you would type: /ns register abc123 email@me.com

To register a channel you first need to register your nickname, one that is done join the channel you want to register and send your request to ChanServ by typing: /cs register #Channel password description
For example if you want to register #Dark-Future with the password abc123 you would type: /cs register #Dark-future abc123 I crime all the time

I crime all the time is an example description, you must include a description when you register a channel, it can be anything you want so long as you have one.
